NXP's i.MX 8 series of system on chip processors offers customers a scalable multicore platform that includes single-, dual- and quad-core families based on the Arm® Cortex architecture. The i.MX 8 provides mil-aero customers an advanced graphics, imaging, HMI, and video for safety critical and non-safety critical applications.

CoreAVI's support for the i.MX 8 product family includes a suite of OpenGL software renderers and hardware accelerated drivers that are architected to enable optimized graphics support for real time and safety critical operating systems. The software drivers are aligned with latest Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™) technical standards and are designed to support a wide range of different multicore configurations, hypervisor and multiple secure partitioned environments. 

Designed from the ground up, CoreAVI safety critical OpenGL driver support for the i.MX 8 product family also includes the availability of complete RTCA DO-178C / EUROCAE ED-12C Level A safety critical driver certification evidence.
